As the draft and Free Agency get closer each day, major question marks still remain at different positions for the Miami Dolphins, and hopefully 2nd year GM Dennis Hickey will be able to fix these issues to help bring the Dolphins over the hump.
Offense
The Dolphins had a good offense last year, and all they really need to do is improve the offensive line, and get another reliable receiver threat for Tannehill to play with. With poor guard play and a lack of depth behind the tackles, things need to improved if the Dolphins are to be successful.
The Free Agency this year has two good guards available, Orlando Franklin (If he doesn't remain with Broncos) and Mike Iupati. Another possible FA target is Clint Boling from Cincinnati who is a younger player with decent potential to become someone the Dolphins want, but the Dolphins may look towards the draft to lock down the Guard, such as AJ Cann or Laken Tomlinson.
Either way, we can't keep playing with Pouncy and Colledge as the guards. Pouncy is a better Center, even though he played Guard and sadly Colledge is past his prime, but it is also possible that Billy Turner develops well enough that he can start at a guard position next year, as hoped by the Dolphin's coaching staff. The Dolphins could also draft/sign another tackle to be there in case someone goes down ensuring Dallas Thomas is kept away from the line.
The Dolphins could also use some more receivers, Branden Gibson was a disappointment last year, and he won't likely remain. Brian Hartline might also leave depending on if they restructure him to a team-friendly deal or if he decides to stake out into Free Agency. Luckily, if they do leave, this year's Free Agency has a lot of good Wide Receivers available such as Kenny Britt and Michael Crabtree, or we can give Matt Hazel a chance to show if he has the stuff and draft a WR in the later rounds this year.
UPDATE: Brandon Gibson and Hartline were cut.
